Loud sounds when changing volume

When I change the volume on my laptop it makes these awfully loud sounds. Can someone please tell me where I can find the settings that will make me able to stop those sounds?

Hi Jul66,Ideally when you are changing volume on yourlaptop, it just increases or decreases the volume. But if you are getting anyother sound it may have to do with drivers. Please do the following step to seeif this fixes the issue.1) Windows logo key+ X (Tap and hold together the 2 keys from your keyboard)2) This will bring up a box. Choose device manager from the left panel.3) Ones in device manager click the arrow buttonby side of Sound.4) Now right click thesound drivers and choose Uninstall.( Make sure that the check box by side of delete driver isunchecked as we are not deleting driver)5) Now restart computer.Check after that what happens when u change the volume.Please let me know if this fixes the issue.

Laptop screen black, lit, external display via hdmi works

It was working completely fine today, until I woke it up from 20 minute long sleep mode . The screen lit up, but didnt display anything. I was worried that either the hard drice got disconnected or the battery broke, but when I plugged it into a tv via hdmi everything worked fine. 
Any ideas? 

 

 

 

1.Unplug the AC adapter and other cables from your notebook.

2.Turn the notebook and look for battery reset pin hole.

3.insert the paper clip and hold it for 30 - 40 seconds.

4.Turn over the notebook one last time and plug in your AC adapter.

5.Turn on your notebook.

Or should I have disconnected the battery too? 

 

Also, when booting from another drive the same problemoccurs- does that mean it has to be a hardware issue? 

Acer Aspire E15 keeps randomly shutting down even when I have a full battery charge

How fast does the battery seem to charge back up to 100% when it's down to ~10%? Jack E/NJ 

all these shutdowns this weekend was with it plugged in.  5 times in just the past 1.5 hrs.  100- 99%% battery even on the restart.

That's bad. It should be serviced under the warranty. I suspect a bad battery or worse. Only 2 things I can suggest to limp along until you can send it back at a less inconvenient time is to (1) Try re-setting the battery through the pinhole if you haven't done so already. (2) Pop the back cover, disconnect the battery, and try to run it on the charger alone. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for the suggestions.  Already tried #1 and for number #2 disconnecting the battery was my very first test.  had another client that had a new Acer that didn't have the battery cable connected from the factory.

Having the same problem as all others here. I have an Acer aspire e15, only 8 months old. Starts up for no reason with "ACER" on the screen.
Doesn't seem to matter if it is on battery power or on mains.

I have same problem it just one month old everything runs fine but while i am in laptop battery its goes off do you guys have any solution.
i have window windown 10 home 64 and bios version insde corp. v1.18, 10/21/2016

@sandesh25 ; There are at least 2 solutions posted in this thread which involve opening the case and applying tape to either a normally open or normally closed switch. Because you are still under warranty, you should either return the machine to the vendor for a replacement unit or refund,  or contact ACER NZ directly. I'mhaving the same problem with my Aspire E5-552, randomly switches off on batterypower and when plugged in to the mains.  Updated the BIOS to v1.10 andalso tried the battery reset. Is opening up the laptop and taping the switchthe only fix?
